Individual Accused of Sexual Assault Against 15-Year-Old in Bucks County; Concerns Arise About Additional Potential Victims

A 32-year-old man hailing from Bucks County now faces a slew of charges related to the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in Quakertown Borough earlier this year.

Miguel Angel Sanchez, a resident of Sellersville, is confronted with multiple counts, including rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, trafficking in individuals, and associated offenses.

Sanchez underwent arraignment on November 3 before Magisterial District Judge Lisa J. Gaier. Due to concerns about flight risk and the potential danger he posed to the community, the judge ordered him held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility without the possibility of bail.

It’s worth noting that, at the time of the alleged offense in Quakertown, Sanchez was already out on bail in Montgomery County, where he faced charges, including indecent assault.

Sanchez opted to waive his preliminary hearing concerning the Bucks County case on November 16, and he is presently awaiting his formal arraignment, which is set for Friday, December 15.
