School Bus Driver Indicted for Allegedly Raping Student in High School Parking Lot

A school bus driver in New York has been formally charged with the alleged rape and kidnapping of a student who was a passenger on his bus route.

Giovanny Campos, aged 50, was employed by the private Cheese Bus Company and had been responsible for picking up the alleged victim, a teenage girl, from January to July.

The Nassau County District Attorney on Long Island revealed that, “The defendant is accused of sexually assaulting the child on multiple occasions, including an incident that took place in a parking lot while they were still on the bus. Additionally, the defendant transported the teenager to his apartment in Jamaica, Queens, where he engaged in sexual acts with her.”

He faces charges of kidnapping, rape, reckless endangerment, and two counts of criminal sexual conduct.
