Three Women Initiate Legal Action Following Sexual Assault by Uber Drivers

Uber Technologies, Inc. and Raiser, LLC are being sued by three women who allege they were sexually assaulted by Uber drivers.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on November 1, accuses the company of negligence in conducting thorough background checks and implementing sufficient safety measures for passenger protection.

The plaintiffs, referred to as Jane Roes CL 4 through 6, join a growing list of nationwide lawsuits against Uber for sexual assault, harassment, and rape claims.

The lawsuit argues that Uber did not adequately safeguard its passengers, leading to these incidents.
